The program
The Mendon-Upton Spanish Immersion Program was established in 1997. It is a content based program, which means that our students learn all core subjects 100% in the target language (Spanish). The language is a vehicle to deliver the content. There are many benefits of bilingual education not only cognitive but also sociocultural.

SI Kindergarten
In our Kindergarten class we believe that language acquisition is more easily accomplished at young age. We acquire the language in the same way you learned your primary language, very organically. We incorporate lots of body movement, music, dancing, role play and hands on activities. That facilitate the learning process making it more fun and engaging. At the same time students gain awareness and appreciation for other cultures. We love to explore different cultures and interact with authentic resources and people from different places. This give our students perspective and also appreciation for different cultures
